Magistrate Malaika Ramsey-Heath Sets Conditions in Detroit Court Appearance

A 56-year-old Detroit woman, Davida Franklin, had a $500,000 personal bond set at her arraignment for second-degree murder. She faced the charge following the fatal stabbing of her 48-year-old husband on November 30, 2021, in Detroit.


Franklin faced preliminary examination before Judge Kenyetta Stanford Jones in Detroit, wearing a GPS tether as ordered by Magistrate Malaika Ramsey-Heath. 


Franklin, seeking court-appointed attorney, awaited processing at Wayne County Jail. Magistrate Ramsey-Heath facilitated arraignment and monitoring in Franklin's legal proceedings. Learn more>
